The government announced that the deadline of April 1, 2023 as the last date for linking voter ID card with Aadhaar card has been changed to March 31, 2024.

Till March 31, 2024, individuals will be able to link their Aadhaar with voter ID card online through the NVSP portal or SMS. Although not required, the linking process assists in identifying or registering the name of the same person in the same constituency in more than one constituency or more than once.

• First, visit the NVSP official website.
• On the home page of the NVSP portal, there is a button for the voter portal, click on it.
• You will be directed to a new page of the voter portal
• You must first log in with either your mobile number, email ID or Voter ID number and you have to provide your password.
• After successfully logging in you just need to provide basic information like your name, district, etc., and then click on the search button.
• Then you have to click on ‘Feed Aadhaar Number’ and a popup page will appear.
• Then you have to fill the Aadhaar card details.
• Then you have to click on the submit button and a message will appear that the application has been submitted successfully.

You can also link your Aadhaar card to your EPIC card:

• First of all, you need to have a mobile phone with a SIM card.
• And for the SMS service, you have to send a text message to 166 or 51969.
• The message is formatted as ECILINKSPACE>EPIC number> space>base number.
• However, you have to send this message from the cellphone number linked to your Aadhaar card.

Upon reaching the end of the process, a message will appear alerting you that the request has already been registered and is now being processed.
